MUSCAT, Oman – Kaolin.om, a leading supplier of industrial minerals to the GCC region and a division of Mohseni General Trading LLC, today announced the release of updated chemical and mineralogical analysis data for its primary kaolin grades, now designated K1 and K2. The analysis, based on Certificate of Analysis No. 03/03-607, confirms the high quality and specific characteristics of the kaolin sourced directly from select Iranian mines.
The updated data reveals that both K1 and K2 are high-quality siliceous kaolin (a natural blend of kaolinite and quartz), characterized by exceptionally low iron oxide (Fe2O3) content, particularly in the K1 grade (approx. 0.10%). This low iron content is a key advantage for applications demanding superior whiteness, such as ceramics (tiles, sanitaryware) and certain filler applications. The analysis also confirms high silica (SiO2) content (approx. 76-77%) inherent in these grades.
