This move caters to the growing demand for high-quality silica across various industries in Oman and the wider GCC region.
Both new grades boast exceptional purity, with SiO2 content exceeding 98.5%. The key differentiator lies in the iron content:
- SA Silica: Features an ultra-low iron oxide (Fe2O3) content of approximately 0.02%, making it the ideal choice for applications where colourlessness and chemical purity are critical, such as high-quality glass manufacturing (float glass, container glass), white cement production, and premium ceramics.
- SB Silica: Offers standard high purity with slightly higher, yet still controlled, iron oxide levels (approx. 0.28%). It is a cost-effective solution suitable for general ceramics, construction materials, fillers, abrasives, and filtration media.
